A spaceship is pulled into orbit around a dark "iron star," whose gravitational pull is so great that the ship won't have enough fuel to break free from its grip. Instead, they land on a nearby planet where they find and ancient alien spacecraft. They also find the wreck of an Earth ship that disappeared years before. To their horror, the planet is also home to nearly invisible, jelly-fish-like creatures who devour human flesh!
