In the late 1990’s, the outrageous, colourful and musical Bollywood with its star entourages first descended on Australian landscapes bringing new entertainment and serious money to Australian shores. In 2010 massive government and private cash injections were announced for anything Australian with Bollywood links. Yet shortly after, the Bollywood shoots in Australia almost came to a halt as the world’s biggest film industry discovered that a film-friendly Australia is a land of many rules, regulations and red tape.
