With its tongue firmly in cheek, this take-off on the popular detection board game offers three different endings to its viewing audience (all great). The verbose Mr. Wadsworth (Tim Curry) has invited a select group of six wildly disparate guests to his mansion on a stormy night. They are given pseudonyms -- (Eileen Brennan) is Mrs. Peacock, (Madeline Kahn) is Mrs. White, (Martin Mull) is Colonel Mustard, and (Lesley Ann Warren), (Michael McKean), and (Christopher Lloyd) round out the list as Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, and Professor Plum. As Colonel Mustard and Wadsworth tangle up the art of conversation, murder punctuates the evening and mystery comes in with the storm.
