It’s blunder on the high seas when Peter Sellers sets sail under the skull and crossbones in GHOST IN THE NOONDAY SUN. And Sellers and his band of inept cut-throats really are all at sea as they bundle their way through a search for buried treasure.Sellers plays Dick Scratcher, a villainous ship’s cook whose fear-some concoctions have claimed more victims than the pirate vessel’s guns. When the contents of his evil cooking pot fail to despatch the captain to Davy Jones’s locker Scratcher finished off the jib with a knife…..takes over command…..and launches the crew into a full-scale treasure hunt. Also on hand are Anthony Franciosa and the dashingly handsome mate and Spike Milligan as an old shipmate who becomes Sellers’ chef partner-in-crime.
