Hellraiser is a 1987 British horror film written and directed by Clive Barker. Adapted from Barkers own novella, the film follows a man who opens a mysterious puzzle box and unleashes extradimensional beings known as Cenobites. Set largely within a suburban house, the story combines supernatural horror with graphic body imagery and themes of desire and suffering.
