Tom (Marshall Ross) is a college student trying to find his way in the world. He desperately wants to be the person his parents want him to be, but he is deeply unhappy with his life. Fate brings him to Madeleine (Kayla Katona), a fellow student with no worries for the future, who lives her life like Tom wishes he could. Tom and Madeleine meet and enter a whirlwind romance to the excitement and annoyance of their friends. Over the course of a year, Tom and Madeleine grow and change together, changes that come to influence those around them as much as it does themselves.
