Boston college student Ted White (Roddy McDowall) travels to Mexico to reconnect with his estranged father, Captain Jeff White (Roland Winters), aboard his shark-hunting boat. But when Ted's inexperience leads to a serious accident that injures his father and a crewman, he sets out to redeem himself by taking the boat back to sea with a newly assembled crew.
