Los Angeles detectives Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh return to protect an eccentric federal witness, Leo Getz, who laundered millions for a massive drug cartel. The investigation takes a dangerous turn when they discover the smugglers are South African diplomats utilizing diplomatic immunity to ship illicit cash and weapons out of the country. Outgunned and facing a corrupt foreign network, the duo goes completely off the grid to exact justice.
