About this release
Ever since they were kids, best friends Jason, Duncan, and Charlie have operated as the "Mystery Team," solving neighborhood kid crimes like missing bikes or stolen pies. Now high school seniors, the trio remains stuck in their naive childhood roles despite being far too old for it. Their simple dynamic is upended when a local girl pays them ten cents to solve a real, adult crime: the double homicide of her parents. Completely out of their depth, the socially awkward boys attempt to crack the dark case using basic kid detective tricks, wandering into a grimy adult world of drug dealers, strip clubs, and corporate secrets.
