Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi directs and writes this film where he's also the star. He plays a self-reflexive role of a filmmaker also named Jafar. The story revolves around the challenges of shooting his new film. He is filming a couple living in Turkey and follows their planned immigration moves. As he is not allowed to leave Iran, Jafar solicits the help of his assistant director and others in the community to shoot the film remotely. However, he also runs into other problems with the community. The drama co-stars Reza Heydari and Mina Kavani.
