In this western, a feisty daughter stands firm in the face of the evil cattleman and her yellow-bellied father as they try to destroy her sheep ranch. Tired of their harassment, the strong-willed woman organizes her own terrorist band to fight back just as dirtily as the cow-folk. One of her ranch hands tries to talk her out of it, but she will not listen until many die. In the end, the ranch hand rides out to put a stop to the violence once and for all.

Ramrod (1947)
95 min
A cattle-vs.-sheepman feud loses Connie Dickason her fiance, but gains her his ranch, which she determines to run alone in opposition to Frank Ivey, "boss" of the valley, whom her father Ben wanted her to marry. She hires recovering alcoholic Dave Nash as foreman and a crew of Ivey's enemies. Ivey fights back with violence and destruction, but Dave is determined to counter him legally... a feeling not shared by his associates. Connie's boast that, as a woman, she doesn't need guns proves justified, but plenty of gunplay results.
