In his sophomore directorial work, Jay Baruchel stars in this film about comic book creator Todd Walkley (Jesse Williams) who becomes popular due to his R-rated comics. His inspiration is from a real-life serial killer who committed gruesome acts of violence two decades ago. When he, his girlfriend Kathy (Jordana Brewster), and producer Ezra (Baruchel) travel back to the killer's town, they discover new crimes being committed recently. But what's scarier is how the new crimes look exactly like the scenes Todd drew in his comics. Based on the comics created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray.
