This musical is best known for featuring over 60 of Hollywood's brightest stars as it tells the story of the Stage Door Canteens, outfits designed to give furloughed servicemen (not officers) a place to relax, blow off steam and meet celebrities. The tale takes place at the first Canteen in Manhattan and chronicles the romance between three lovely Canteen hostesses and a trio of soldiers who are about to be shipped overseas.
