Walerian Borowczyk, one of Poland's foremost animation cartoonists, proved equally adept at handling human beings, and especially skilled at combining flesh-and-blood reality with vicious, near-surrealistic satire. Grazyna Dlugoleca stars as an innocent young girl of the Victorian era. As she blossoms into womanhood, Grazyna develops an insatiable desire for the opposite sex. Ultimately, her obsession leads to her ruin...and to her redemption via personal sacrifice. Do not confuse this 1975 Story of Sin (aka Story of a Sin) with the 1990 film of the same title.
