A perfect crime begins in the mind. From Director Fabián Bielinsky (Nine Queens) comes hypnotic psychological thriller THE AURA (EL AURA). Shy reclusive taxidermist Estaban Espinosa (Ricardo Darín) lives with epilepsy. When not preserving dead animals, he is fascinated by crime and dreams of committing the flawless heist. He unexpectedly gets the chance when he accidentally kills criminal Carlos Dietrich (Manuel Rodal) while trying to shoot a deer during a hunting trip with friend Sontag (Alejandro Awada). The victim had planned to rob an armoured car carrying casino profits and Espinosa assumes his identity and takes over the scheme. His lack of criminal experience and his chronic neurological disease soon put his life in danger. Winner of Best Director at the Cartagena Film Festival, Clarín Awards, and Silver Condor Awards - and nominated for the World Cinema Jury Prize at Sundance.
