Director David Twohy and star Vin Diesel return for this sequel to the 2000 surprise hit Pitch Black. After making it out of the first film alive, The Chronicles of Riddick finds Riddick (Diesel) caught in the middle of the tenth crusade, a 26th century war between the followers of Lord Marshal (Colm Feore) and the Elemental race. Also starring Judi Dench, Keith David, and Thandie Newton, The Chronicles of Riddick is the first film in a planned trilogy of Pitch Black sequels centering on Riddick.
