The story follows Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox), an architect who develops psychic abilities to communicate with ghosts after a tragic car accident that killed his wife. Instead of using his gift for good, Frank forms an alliance with three friendly spirits to haunt local homes so he can charge the unsuspecting residents for his "exorcism" services. His lucrative scam falls apart when a genuine, malevolent entity resembling the Grim Reaper begins murdering both the living and the dead. As the town begins to suspect Frank is behind the sudden rash of heart attacks, he must clear his name and find a way to stop the demonic killer.

110 min
Once an architect, Frank Bannister now passes himself off as an exorcist of evil spirits. To bolster his facade, he claims his "special" gift is the result of a car accident that killed his wife. But what he does not count on is more people dying in the small town where he lives. As he tries to piece together the supernatural mystery of these killings, he falls in love with the wife of one of the victims and deals with a crazy FBI agent.
