Tamara Jenkins writes and directs this poignant, sharply funny drama about sibling dynamics and aging. Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman star as Wendy and Jon Savage, two estranged, self-absorbed adult siblings who are forced to band together when their abusive, sliding father develops dementia. Pulling themselves away from their stagnant lives in New York, they must navigate the bureaucratic and emotional minefields of nursing home care, forcing them to confront their shared family trauma and re-evaluate their own adulthood.
