This gothic horror film written and directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos is based on the novel Shrine by James Herbert. It follows the supernatural abilities of a young girl named Alice (Cricket Brown) who despite previously having various impairments is now able to speak, hear and cure the sick thanks to an alleged visit from the Virgin Mary. Keen to cover the story and get his career back on track, journalist Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) starts to investigate; but it isn't long before things begin to unravel as a more sinister truth starts to emerge. Cary Elwes and Katie Aselton co-star.

99 min
Alice is a young hearing-impaired girl who, after a supposed visitation from the Virgin Mary, is inexplicably able to hear, speak and heal the sick. As word spreads and people from near and far flock to witness her miracles, a disgraced journalist hoping to revive his career visits the small New England town to investigate. When terrifying events begin to happen all around, he starts to question if these phenomena are the works of the Virgin Mary or something much more sinister.
