About this release
Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a confident 13-year-old girl, is always ready for anything that life throws at her. When she wakes up one morning in the form of a Red Panda, Mei is unsurprisingly startled. Ming (Sandra Oh), Mei's mother, informs her that this little "quirk" has been in the family for generations, and any strong feeling of emotion will unleash the Panda. Mei must now deal with growing up, becoming a teenager, and harnessing the friendly beast that she may become at any moment. Directed by Domee Shi.
