Producer Hal Roach, who had found immense success with his Our Gang series, tried to make lightning strike twice when he assembled a new group of adventurous kids called "Curly and his Gang." In this tale, Curley and his pals find themselves testifying in a murder trial. When the wrong man is sentenced, the youngsters do some investigating of their own. Like the old Our Gang comedies, there are plenty of laughs, scares, and delights to be found in this feature, including a pesky gorilla, and a creepy laboratory full of secret passageways.
